I am not sure what I wrote down that I was going to do, but what I ended up doing was utilizing some of the things that I have learned for this class when creating a lesson plan for curriculum design.
By integrating some of the methods and philosophies from psychology into my curriculum design lessons I was able to cement the knowledge into my long term memory while learning how to pull it forward into my working memory. For example as I created a lesson plan for a first grade class I tried to keep in mind that the majority of the students would be in Piaget's preoperational stage and may not understand abstract ideas.
I have learned that I need to integrate new knowledge into my everday life and other classes. This will help me to make the connenctions that are necessary in order to store and retrieve information in the future.
